Kongo Graffiti for Hermès Scotts Square Store

Kongo Graffiti, Hermes Scotts Square

Hermès enlisted the help of renowned French graffiti artist Kongo to create a graffiti artwork on the hoarding of Hermès Scotts Square live last Friday night. Kongo’s work does not stop there. He designed the Hermès store windows and a larger-than-life scarf fashioned into a photo booth called the Graff Hermès. All these will be unveiled proper during the Hermès store opening on Friday, 9th December. Kongo will also be there on site to grace this occasion and create custom graffiti name tags for lucky visitors. Fortunately, the Hermès store opening celebrations at Scotts Square will be open to the public throughout the weekend at the Scotts Square atrium. Excited?

Hermès has previously collaborated with Kongo with Hermès stores in Hong Kong, Berlin and Barcelona and also supports Kosmopolite, the international festival of graffiti co-founded by Kongo. Kongo is also here to showcase his work entitled Graffiti Made by Hand which kicked off the Voilah! French Festival Singapore 2011’s “Off the Wall” Urban Art Festival.

A brilliant mash-up of graffiti art and fashion from France’s best combining beautifully while still maintaining an expensive taste level. What intrigues me is the different ways brands are organising store opening celebrations. They all strive to be different and unique but having a broad appeal. What Hermès and Kongo have done here is fantastic. Be sure to check it out come Friday, 9th December!
