Vogue US September 2012 | The Vogue 120 by Norman Jean Roy

Sports is out! Fall is in! The conclusion of the London 2012 Olympic Games brings us to the onslaught of ultra thick September issues and no prizes for guessing who is the winner here. The Vogue US September 2012 issue is literally the biggest issue yet with 916 pages, surpassing the previous world record held by the Vogue US September issue of 2007 by a whooping 76 pages!

How apt as well, that Vogue celebrates its 120th anniversary this very month; yes the magazine was founded in September of 1892. Out of all the fashion publications out there, –at the top of my head– only Harper’s Bazaar can claim an earlier birth date.

Lady Gaga graces the cover for the second time in Marc Jacobs but the highlight for me has got to be The Vogue 120: The Stylish Singers, Designers, Actors, Models, and More (Under 45) of the Moment. Hitting all the nails on the head, this list is essentially a names-you-need-to-know list. Sadly, not all of them made it to the editorial; imagine if they all did!

Stella McCartney Fall/Winter 2011/2012 Ad Campaign Preview | Natalia Vodianova

Stella McCartney Fall/Winter 2011/2012 ad campaign, Natalia-Vodianova, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott

The Stella McCartney Fall/Winter 2011/2012 ad campaign features Natalia Vodianova, shot by none other than photographers of the moment, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in a private Oxfordshire home. Black and white imagery was juxtaposed against the greenery of a topiary garden. Nothing spectacular here but it’s still lovely nonetheless.

Stella McCartney appointed as Creative Director for the British Team

Stella McCartney has been appointed as the Creative Director of the British Olympic Team by Adidas, the official sportswear of the London 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This will be the first time a leading designer has been appointed to design sportswear for both the Olympic and Paralympic teams. Apart from designing apparel for the team, she will be designing fan merchandise as well. As you all know, Stella McCartney has collaborated with Adidas on several occasions to launch sportswear collections in the past so this might come as no surprise to some of you.
